Colts got their first League campaign off to a good start with a solid peformance at Melksham Park Youth. In an even and open first half , Colts had to wait until the 10th minute for Luca to open his account for the season with a fine strike from the edge of the area. Jay and Eddie went close shortly after but it was Luca again, who doubled his tally and the scoreline with another typically cool finish on 20 minutes.
3 minutes after the restart, James capitalised on a defensive mix-up with some quick thinking and just 2 minutes later, an opportunist strike made it 4. The hard working midfield duo of Matthew and Jay and 2-goal striker James, made way for Eddie, Joseph and Alex and the Colts made it a nap hand
on 35 minutes, when a curling shot from Joseph, came back off the crossbar and birthday-boy Jimmy,was on hand to nod the ball high into the roof of the net. The defence, excellently marshalled by skipper Joshua, held firm and 'keeper Sebastian, showed great composure and safe handling when called upon.
