Warminster started the game brightly and dominated large periods of the first half. Warmnster took the lead 10 minutes into the half from a well worked corner. Warminster pressed for the first 30 minutes of the half, but could not add to their advantage because of some resolute defending from Combe defenders Tom Hughes and Andy Jobbins (Combe man of the match).

With 10 minutes to go in the half, Combe started to get into their stride and had a few breakaway chances, but found the Warminster keeper in excellent first half form denying them each time.

The second half was a different story. Combe were out of the blocks like a flash and with only 45 seconds gone, equalised through Substitute Tom Golding. This rattled Warminster and as Combe piled on the pressure, Warminster were forced into some silly errors and Combe made Warminster pay for these with goals in the 17th, 20th and 21st minutes from Matt Stevens, Tom Golding and Oli Thomas taking the score to 4-1 in Combes favour. Warminster rallied themselves and scored from a good strike after 28 minutes, but never looked like being able to get back into the game.

This was a good game played in excellent spirits.
