CCCFC U11s Match Report Print

Trophy match v Malmesbury ( home) on 20th Nov 2016

Castle Combe Colts U11s battled well against a strong Malmesbury team containing a lot of FC Wilts players.
CCCFC started slowly ( again!but were back in the game before half time with a goal from James.
In the second half we started much stronger and Matty netted before we ended up conceding twice. Then the fight back started with Joel dribbling through and scoring to create an exciting finish.
Positives:
1. Seby passing and covering at right back!
3. Bailey in goal, coming out when needed to clear
4. Cole and Kwaku's partnership in defence.
5. Matty controlling midfield when we went 2 up front
6. Ollie and Freddie's wing play.
7. Joel's deep runs from midfield
8. Nick's chasing back and tough tackling
9. Will in CDM role when asked.
10. James' pace up front, hanging on last defender

Things to improve:
1. We MUST pass the ball quicker against these better teams! 1 or 2 touch stuff e.g. More one-twos when in difficulty.
2. MORE COMMUNICATION! Tell your team mates where you want the ball, if you are free... CALL FOR THE BALL!

However keep up the fighting spirit The Colts!
