tournament4Biblical conditions battered the brave under-7s and 8s as they completed their festival of football and halted proceedings for around 30 minutes.
Mercifully, the weather improved as teams representing a host of clubs from the area contested the even-numbered age groups in the afternoon.
The action resumes with the odd-numbered age groups on Sunday, with the under-9s and 11s kicking off another fun-filled football feast at 9am.
