A Game of Two Halves........

Melksham put Jordan under pressure from the start with Ellis, Tom, Adam & Alex having their work cut out against a some very quick attacking play from the visitors resulting in Melksham's first goal after just 4 minutes.

Combe stayed positive with some fantastic play from Aaron and Joseph on the wings with on super cross from Joseph finding George who delivered a great strike testing the Melksham's goal keeper to the full, 2 minutes later and our goal is under threat again this time Alex saved the day clearing the ball of the line from a corner.

Jordan was tested time and time again with some super saves making the practice all seem worth while sadly 5 minutes from the end of the 1st half melksham got their 2nd which again did not get the Colts down Lewis, Ryan, Charlie, Harry & the Aaron's all battled hard in midfield with a amazing run from Joe being cleared off the line by the Saints defence and our determination was rewarded with a goal from George just before the half-time whistle.

Steve's half-time team talk paid off with the Colts coming out on the attack determined to get back an early equaliser unfortunately our efforts were matched and Melksham scored taking the score to 1-3 and this appeared to lower the Colts heads and despite somer great saves from Jordan and Lewis and Tom's headers off the line Melksham continued to deliver goals.

Despite the final score we matched Melksham's ability and speed of play they just wanted it more in the second half and played stronger as a team, a real eye opener for things to come in other leagues and great preperation for what could be our toughest league challange to date when we meet Bradford on Avon on their home soil this Saturday.
