The Blacks team turned up for their first ever league game and seemed to enter the land of the giants! I dont know what there is in the Westbury air (maybe the old cement factory) but some of their lads were about 6ft tall!!

It was pretty even in terms of possesion and chances in the first half. It was just that our hosts were a lot more clinical in front of goal. Charlie hit the bar, Jamie worked himself a brilliant chance and forced a good save and Jacob could also have notched. Joshua F pulled off a number of great saves but it couldnt prevent us going 3-0 down at half time.

Charlie took his turn in goal and carried on saving nearly all Westbury could throw at us (final score was 4-0). The team tackled and battled like a pride of lions and the sheer spirit and never say die spirit was something to celebrate. Dan had several typical long range efforts, and the defensive unit of Tom, Josh B and Heather were outstanding.

Man of the match - the whole darn lot of them.
