U10 CCCFC 0 - 5 Devizes Town Youth FC Print
Season 10/11 - Under 10 White

U10's got off to the worst possible start on Sunday at Champions Devizes, gifting the home team a 2-0 lead inside 10 minutes. After that, Colts performance improved hugely, with Joshua comfortable and confident enough to playout from the back whenever possible and we were unfortunate not to pull a goal back before halftime when Eddie raced through and fired narrowly wide. Alec pulled off a fantastic save to see 10's go into the interval 0-2.The first 10 minutes of the second half, saw Colts play almost entirely in the Devizes half, with James controlling the midfield, Harry creative up front and an overall great team shape. Sebbie settled in well on the left and Joseph went close but his strike was well held by the Town 'keeper. However, try as they might, we just couldn't make enough of the opportunities that came our way and were made to pay on 30', when Jack ran onto a defence-splitting pass, to finish well. The boys heads went down after that and a 0-5 scoreline was harsh for 20 minutes of terrific football. All in all, a much better display than last weeks' effort.
