Friendlies vs Chippenham Town Youth Print
Season 10/11 - Under 8 Blacks & Whites

The chaps opened the new season today by playing a couple of friendlies against Chippenham Tn and what high quality, thrilling, close encounters they turned out to be.

Zac, making his debut in the first game, capped an all action display by not only scoring but also by making one of the bravest, John Terry type, defensive blocks ever witnessed at Stanley Park. Other recent recruits Joe (who bagged a brace), Jack and Toby all contributed to some fine passing moves. In the first 10 minutes of this game it looked like we had an extra man - this is less impressive than it sounds as it then dawned on us that we actually did have an extra man. We took one off quickly!

Ollie and Jude did their usual sterling jobs in goal and Cameron took another impressive step on his recovery from last years injury. Jayden held the team together at the back with a flawless and dogged defensive masterclass.

In the second game Archie hit the goal trail again (2) and Rory notched also. Louie, Alex, Henry and Nick kept an impressive attacking unit largely at bay whilst Will and Josh ran themselves into the ground in the middle. Well done all.
