U8 games v Worton & Cheverell Print
Season 10/11 - Under 8 Blacks & Whites
The lads met their match when taking on W&C this weekend. Time to doff our caps, say well played to the opposition and work to improve.
Whites - a really good first half performance kept the scoreline very close, mainly down to some fantastic keeping by Jude who was on the ball every moment. He probably has a good shiner now thanks to using his face to stop one shot! Jayden ran his socks off with some great covering tackles and plenty of good clearances and passing. The Second half started as the first, but soon Worton got into their rather long legged stride and took some opportunities created at the back with their keepers kicks. Worton's passing game was the difference today.
The Machine's goal was a late individual effort with twists and turns along the way. Louie battled hard up front and  Ben and Cam tried their hardest both in midfield and at the back. Zac was superb at stopping the attacking moves. Jack was a constant threat in midfield but was often out-numbered.
Blacks - much the same, although Archie notched a superb hat-trick and we were 3-1 up at that stage. Our opponents attacked relentlessy and wore us down as the game progressed (more fitness training Coach!). Special mentions to Toby for his ferocious work in defence and Josh for his creative passing. Well done everyone involved.
