The under-7s' second outing of the season saw them pitched against Trowbridge Town, who hosted two fixtures at Woodmarsh. In the first, a fantastic start saw Colts score three times in the opening half against the strongest team they have faced so far. Bradley and Matty grabbed their first goals of the season and Max netted after a superb solo run, while Luke produced a couple of magnificent saves in goal. Trowbridge were not to be denied in the second half, however, despite the efforts of Joe - a constant thorn in the hosts' side up front - and Josh and James at the back. The second fixture saw goals galore for the visiting Colts side, which included a number of debutants. Matthew was in unstoppable form and found the net eight times. Darragh hit a hat-trick and Brandon a double on their first appearances, while George also bagged a brace. Tom and Theo were unlucky not to join them on the scoresheet after determined displays and Alex kept a clean sheet in goal. |
