After the enforced winter break the boys finally got back onto a football pitch this morning against Westbury Youth.

The colts got off to a great start by playing some good passing moves on a 'tight' pitch. For most of the 1st half the colts were camped in the opponents half, but due to some good goalkeeping and rusty finishing (understandable after such a long lay-off) the colts were unable to get the goal their play deserved.

Midway through the 2nd half the goal finally came after some good work by Joshua & Matthew help set up James to score with a good shot from just inside the penalty box.

Unfortunately I think the colts were still celebrating and had stopped concentrating, this allowed Westbury to kick off and go straight up the middle of the pitch and score. This led to a frantic final last 5 mins with both teams looking for the winner, but with the colts struggling to clear the ball Westbury managed to sneak the winning goal.

A disappointing result, but all the boys should be pleased with their performance as they played some very good football, hopefully they can carry this into next weeks game. Well done to all.
