The under-7s played host to Marshfield Juniors in two friendlies on a bitterly cold morning at Castle Combe. Joe was in hot form in the first match though, hitting the net four times to make it nine goals in two games. His final goal, which saw him race virtually the length of the pitch before finishing superbly, was the pick of the bunch. William had a moment to remember, notching his first for the team, and James and Matty S joined him on the scoresheet. Bradley provided a safe pair of hands in goal and Josh, George, Tom and Jacob all battled well. The second game was an extremely tight affair and the team were indebted to the efforts of Matty S, who took over the gloves and made a series of excellent saves. Luke again impressed at the heart of defence with some meaty tackles and clearances and the tireless Matthew and Max were desperately unlucky not to score at the other end. Theo, Alex and Bradley produced some good tackles and Brandon and Darragh posed questions of the Marshfield defence. |
