Four players helped themselves to hat-tricks as the under-7s gave their windswept supporters plenty to cheer during two fixtures against Melksham United B at Castle Combe. An early blitz from Joe, who ended up with four goals, set the tone for the morning as Colts enjoyed having the elements in their favour in the opening half of the first game. The determined Max grabbed a treble thanks to some strong running, James produced two clinical finishes and Matthew R had the distinction of scoring direct from a corner. Josh was as reliable as ever at the heart of defence and Bradley supported the strikeforce with some neat passing. George followed up a solid display between the posts in the first game with some fantastic dribbling and finishing in the second, finding the net three times. Matty S led the way, though, and rounded off his five-goal haul with the strike of the day, a cracking effort that crashed in off the bar. Brandon also netted from a tight angle and peppered the Melksham goal with several other efforts. The tenacious Theo was full of energy, Jacob and William played key roles in midfield and Luke again impressed with his awareness at the back. |
