On an absolutely filthy day at Combe, the players of the U10's Blacks team did themselves, their club and especially their coach proud. It would have been easy to hide during the game and coast through but they met a strong Wanderers team and matched them blow for blow.

Jasper - was fantastic, displaying strong hands to stop 4 or 5 certain goals. Only when the ball turned into a bar of soap in the second half was he beaten. Warwick - tackled manfully to help the rearguard. Ben - skipper for the day ran miles for the cause. Jacob - had one of his best ever games. Heather - definitely her best game, and kept everyones spirits up by beaming at us saying 'this is fun!'. Josh F and Jamie - worked really hard to set up our many chances. Dan - supporting the attack one minute, defending on our line the next - best player on the pitch. Harry - has suddenly found the energy to go alongside his natural talent. One tanklike run left two opponents on the floor having bounced off him! Charlie - ran all game and had 3 or 4 miraculous dribbles that created havoc for our opponents - had our best chance and struck it really well but the keeper made a good save.
