U10 White 0 v 3 FC Chippenham Print
Season 10/11 - Under 10 White

The whites were hosts to runaway league leaders FC Chippenham in what can be only described as 'challenging' conditions. However both teams tried and managed to play some excellent football.

With some tremendous gritty defending from Alex, Tom & James the visitors were finding it difficult to get through the whites defence, Joshua very nearly opened the scoring with a fantastic shot from outside the box, but the keeper was equal to it and produced a great finger tip save. Eventually FC Chipp got their breakthrough courtesy of a wonderful direct freekick from 20 metres that flew into the net, 2 keepers wouldn't have stopped it !!

The second half was another tight affair with both sides intent on attacking, Eddie & Matthew both had half chances but very little luck, Alec produced 2 excellent saves to keep the whites in the game, however a fine FC Chipp move involving some good wing play and a volleyed finish made the score 2-0. The whites continued to battle on admirably and didn't let their heads drop, but were unable to stop a third for the visitors who scored with a free header from a corner in the dying seconds.

Despite the result this was again a great determined performance from the boys. They made FC Chipp work extremely hard for their win, we have only 2 away games left and with the recent form they have all showed we should be aiming to win both !!
