U8 vs Worton Print
Season 10/11 - Under 8 Blacks & Whites

We knew this would be a tough fixture from the games earlier in the season - and so it proved. The guys gave me every last drop of effort though and Im proud of every one of them.

Whites - this was a very even game and the feeling is that our lads deserved at least a draw. Unfortunately Louie decided to save one shot with his face rather than his hands and our opponents managed to grab a goal whilst he was still groggy. Archie took over in goal for the second half and produced an absolute masterclass between the sticks - keeping a clean sheet and starting many attacks from the back. We were awarded a penalty but unfortunately the machine sprung a fault and allowed the keeper to save it. Ben, Zac, Alex and Joe N all had fine games.

Blacks - another very even game where we were down to bare bones in numbers (especially when Rory had to retire - ill). Archie played in defence the first half and produced another great display for his coach ensuring Ollie had little to do in goal. Josh was battling away with Darryl and Joe P and started to create a few chances. Early in the second half those chances paid off when Archie glanced home a JG corner and also when Henry followed up on Archies shot that hit the post to score. Nick had a good half in goal where he made some very good decisions about when to come off his line and when to stay.
