What a local derby! In a thrilling end to end encounter, the lads dug in, came from behind and got their just deserts with a well deserved equaliser at the death. All this against the best team in the division who have headed the section from day 1.

Two quality strikes in to the top corner put our hosts in control (they had to be that good to get past Jasper, who was on fire!) but this gave a false impression of the balance of play. Because the rock at the back (Josh B) was back and he was so ably supported by Harry and Warwick, we were able to create and attack just as much as our lofty opponents. Charlie and Jamie created and narrowly squandered great chances, and Josh F and Ben were running themselves into the ground to provide the ball. As soon as the second goal went in, Dan obviously thought he'd do something about it, as from the kick off he launched an exocet-like shot that bounced once from 40 yards and sailed over the keeper into the net. The good surface obviously suited our game as passes were finding a player in stripes and we continued to look dangerous. A move in the 35th minute involving Josh F and Charlie left Jamie in the clear - could he make it count? His first effort struck the keeper in the chest, he was then first to react and able to prod the ball over the line. YESSSSSS. We clinched the point we deserved and actually had one or two chances to nick it at the end - but that would have probably been being greedy!
