The under-7s went into their Easter break on a high after nine different players got their names on the scoresheet in two home friendlies with Malmesbury. Joe and Matty S linked superbly throughout and both netted five times, Matty having the rare distinction of scoring with his head. James produced a powerful performance and thumped home four goals in customary fashion. After keeping a clean sheet in goal in the first game Max helped himself to another hat-trick in the second, while Matthew R showed his finishing ability with a couple of excellently-taken strikes. Luke ended his wait for a goal and almost added to it later on with a mammoth goal kick. George, Brandon and Bradley were also on target. Josh did well not to get a nosebleed in a more advanced role than normal, Theo and Will showed their versatility by playing in a number of positions and Jacob made some useful tackles to help keep a sporting Malmesbury outfit at bay. |
