Calne, as Ive said before are our barometer. If we play well against them, we know we are playing REALLY well. We did just that today against an unfortunately weakened opposition (holiday pull-outs).

Whites v Calne A - Archie unselfishly crossed for Zac to (as Zac always does) bravely dive in and force a goal through sheer determination in the early minutes. Will gracefully glided through the defence to slot a great goal shortly after. We then had simultaneous injuries to Louie and Zac which meant Louie couldnt carry on and the coach had to think fast - tricky! Calne were proving dangerous on the break but a combination of Archie, Zac, Alex and Toby were able to thwart them mostly.

Will got another (aided by the hard working Josh), followed by one from Archie. This left the stage for Tom who came on late in goal to score direct from a drop kick (although I am not sure how!). Everyone played superbly well but I am going to give the man of the match to Joe N who quietly, gets visibly better week on week.

Blacks v Calne B - this was an even better performance from an admittedly strong whites team. Skipper Rory potted a lovely goal, Jayden slotted a penalty and Joe P showed his predatory instincts by notching. Henry, Jude, Tom, Josh W & Toby were all just brilliant. Well done guys.
