U9 Blacks 3 Warminster 1 Print
Season 11/12 - Under 9 Blacks & Whites
Second game of the season saw the blacks play Warminster Highbury in a great game played in the right spirit from both sets of players and supporters. The lads who played in defense should be well and truly proud of their performance with Jude in Goal having so little to do in the first half. He was a very important player in the second playing in defense magnificently. Our defense stood up to Warminster attacking in the second half and stood firm to concede only one goal. Darryl was equally impressive at the back and can always be trusted to get a goal saving tackle in when needed and yet he is just as impressive going forwad on the attack.

Brilliant once again was the boys attacking play with Rory scoring two goals including a great finish where he rounded the keeper to make it four goals this season and Nick Scoring again to make it three goals in two games. Joe was very impressive when played as a striker in the second half with his closing down of players being absolutely superb. Josh is making that midfield position his own with two excellent performances and is now the teams corner taker and set piece magician.

The whole team played equally as well as each other and each player did their bit with Oliver, Daniel Nixon, Ben and Daniel Sutton all playing fantastically well and are proving to be key players to the team. When these guys play well then the whole team seems to play well.

Have to mention the Parents support, which was brilliant and they kept cheering until the very end of the game even though most were completely wet through.

Well done lads. Can we make it three wins in a row???
Cheers Jason
