U11 Warminster Reds 6 CCCFC 1 Print
Season 11/12 - Under 11

A difficult day at the office for the colts when we visited Warminster on Saturday.

In sweltering conditions and on a rather large pitch the colts got off to a great start as they took the lead after only 5 mins when Eddie latched onto a through ball, left 2 defenders in his wake and then finished neatly into the bottom corner. as the half progressed Warminster took control and used the big pitch and the slope to their advantage,  they quickly equalised and soon went into the lead, the colts were struggling to contain the warminster attacks. 4-1 at half time.

To the credit of the colts they upped their work rate in the second half and ensured that it was a much closer game although we couldn't stop Warminster from adding a couple more goals.

Thank you to Phil Smith for being linesman today.

Man of the match: James McGettigan - never stopped running

Next game: Derry Hill at home - League cup
