Both U9 Teams Progress in Cup Print
Season 11/12 - Under 9 Blacks & Whites

Whites and Blacks both forged into the last 16 of the cup with great displays.

Trowbridge C 0 CCCFC Whites 10

Great credit has to go to Trowbridge for keeping on trying in the face of overwhelming force from the lads today. Josh and Will kept clean sheets in goal whilst having time to add 3 goals between them. Zac crashed in a RIGHT FOOT screamer which just has to cost his dad some money! Archie notched a close range brace whilst skipper for the day Louie led the way with 4. They kept their positional discipline well, whilst understandably slightly getting in each others way in an attempt to keep the scoreboard rolling over. Well done guys

CCCFC Blacks 3 Calne B 2

Saturday 15th October saw CCCFC U9 Blks play in the first round of the mid wilts cup against a very good FC Calne B. The match was fantastic and better then anything on match of the day that evening. Combe took the lead early on with a brilliant finish from Nick who was playing left of midfield only for the score to be pegged back to one a piece with a good goal from FC Calne. Combe then took the lead again, this time through Rory making it an impressive ten goals in five games. Still in the first half and with the whole of the team performing brilliantly, we conceded a second goal to make it two all. The FC Calne goal was spectacular but was topped by our winning goal scored by Josh and surely a goal of the season contender. Ollie playing in goal made a few very good saves and catches from some long range efforts from Calne before Jude took over in goal for the second half. Combe kept the pressure on Calne and pinned them back in their own half by repeatedly winning the ball from FC Calne goal kicks before Calne had a spell of pressure that resulted in two fantastic lightening Ninja style reflex saves from Jude. Combe hit the post twice and had several chances but 3 - 2 it finished and we go through to the next round. Darryl was superb in midfield and then defence in the second half, as was Henry playing the same positions in reverse. Both made several interceptions and tackles but also got forward and joined the attack brilliantly. Ben gave his best performance since joining the team playing some great clearances and forward passes to turn defence to attack. Great performance from everyone!
