The Blacks played a full part in an absorbing encounter with hosts Chippenham Town Youth at Stanley Park. A tough start saw the visitors playing up the hill and into a strong wind and keeper Daniel and defenders Max, who opened the Colts’ account with a neat finish at the other end, and Luke did well to limit the damage. Josh M joined Max on the scoresheet when he forced home his first goal in black and white stripes, which was swiftly followed by a second after the interval. Colts created numerous chances with the elements in their favour in a second half that had the supporters on the edge of their seats. Captain George crashed home their other goal and was involved in some great build-up play along with Matthew R, Bradley, Luke and Alex that could have seen the Blacks add to their tally. Daniel did well at the back to keep a powerful Chippenham side at bay, while behind him an inspired Max was only beaten by a deflected effort after taking over in goal. |
