Season 11/12 - Under 9 Blacks & Whites

Larkhall 1 CCCFC White 1

An incredibly unlucky own goal was all that prevented the Whites taking the Green Division league title at a windy, bitterly cold Lansdown. The guys put up a typically gutsy performance sprinkled with good possession and passing football in the face of very strong (big) opposition. They were very unlucky not to win as our goalkeepers Archie and Zac had very little to do.

The point earned was enough to ensure at least a share of the title but no-one felt in the mood to celebrate that as our eyes turn to the reverse fixture with the Larks on the 10th December -another chance to 'get over the line'.

Jayden, Tom and Toby were brilliant in defence - a ricochet from a corner being the only time they were breached (only 5 goals conceded so far all season). Zac, Will and Josh controlled the midfield against very worthy opponents superbly - Josh just pipping Will for the m.o.m badge in this titanic struggle. Louie did everything asked of him by his managers in a hard working display and Archie also worked harder than in recent times, and was rewarded with a great goal which flew in from 15 yards off the post.

Last push guys - in a season that is proving to be one to remember.Wink
