There were plenty of goals for a windswept crowd to enjoy when the Blacks took on Bishops Cannings at Castle Combe. With the elements and the slope in their favour in the first half, Colts poured forward in numbers and George, Luke, Max and Matthew R – who scored direct from a corner, yet again – all found the Cannings net. The sporting visitors had plenty to cheer as the Colts coaches experimented with their line-up in the second period, although Max and Luke both completed their hat-tricks and Matthew thumped home his second of the morning. Skipper Bradley led by example with some unselfish and intelligent play and was instrumental in a number of the hosts’ goals. Daniel and Caleb shared the goalkeeping duties and, along with Alex, broke up the visitors’ attacks with some timely tackles. |
