The Lads proved today - they absolutely belong in Div 1. They know they played well. They gave more than they got against a very strong Melksham outfit who clinched the runners up spot last year.

Chance followed chance in a first half in which we had a strong wind at our backs. Our forceful midfield of Will, Josh and Arch combined with Langy to set up camp around the Melksham box - we just couldnt get a decisive strike in. Jayden & Joe mopped up any Melksham sorties and Zac was faultless between the sticks. Rory and Josh W showed that they are learning and improving every game, and Tom leapt from his sickbed to put in a heroic stint.

When we turned around still goalless, the coach feared the worst. A sustained stint of passing football enabled us to carry on carving out chances though. Possession was a lot more even now, and our hosts clinically took the lead from a well executed corner routine. You dont always get what you deserve lads - there is a saying that luck and decisions even themselves out over a season..............
