U11 CCCFC 2 Corsham Lions 6 Print
Season 11/12 - Under 11

Its not easy to write a match report after such a disappointing result & performance. Today the colts found themselves out muscled by a good Corsham team. The first half was quite scrappy with very little good football played, but on too many occasions for the coaches liking the colts were always second to the ball and found it very difficult to clear the ball away from the danger areas and as a consequence were 2-0 behind at half time. The second half started much the same as the 1st and Corsham soon added a 3rd, it was at this point that we finally seemed to come to life and Eddie reduced the deficit by scoring 2 fine individual goals within a couple of minutes of other. A comeback was on or so we thought, but for some reason the guys slipped back into their old ways and shipped a further 3 goals, fortunately for us Jasper pulled off some magnificent saves to stop the scoreline from getting any worse. James put in usual energetic shift and Joshua G did very well despite me asking him to play in 3 different positions during the game. Plenty of work to be done on the training pitch !!

Man of the match: Eddie 2 terrific goals taking him to 20 for the season so far. (as nominated by a parent who took the time to email me after the game)

Next Game: Corsham Falcons away Sat 10th March
