U9: CCCFC White 1 Larkhall Ath 0 Print
Season 11/12 - Under 9 Blacks & Whites

The improvement continued apace from last weeks great showing. This time the ball rolled for us -

We welcomed our friends from Bath - they have continued to grow and remain a big physical test for our lads. Our guys worked out quickly that if you cant run through something the best thing to do is pass around it. If this demeans Larkhall in any way - it isnt meant to, they are a very good side who will get stronger and stronger I believe. It is meant to show that our guys played some outstanding football.

Led by skipper Will, the Whites carved out chance after chance - one narrowly missed by Zac would have been a contender for the goal of the season. Louie did all he had to do in goal in a very accomplished manner and Toby steamed into his tackles with his usual fervour. It remained 0-0 until a few minutes before the break when a typically excellent delivery from Josh at a corner found Zac at the far post who lashed the ball in. Expecting an onslaught in the second half we paid our visitors the compliment of playing Arch and Josh at the back - working in tandem they saw us home with no massive scares. Rory had a storming second half carrying the ball and putting in tackles. Joseph and Josh W cleared their lines repeatedly and ran themselves into the ground.

Take a bow guys - Men of the Match - Will. Louie, Archie, Zac, Josh, Rory, Toby, Josh W & Joseph.
