A hastily arranged freindly was organised as 4no 12 minute halfs -this enabled me to give the whole squad a good outing. Thanks to Nathan and his players for coming over - I hope they got as much out of the exercise as I did.

Several players played new positions and just as many showed that their recent improvement was no flash in the pan. Tom put in a very strong display capping matters with a rasping shot that whizzed into the net. Joseph netted his maiden goal for CCCFC with a sensational low drive - congratulations Joe. Josh W showed an eye for a tackle and an assuredness in posession which was great to see. Zac, Will and Josh put in their usual impeccable performances including clean sheets whilst in goal. Joe, Jayden and Toby were fantastic in defensive positions. Louie ran himself into the ground and produced a display which was perfect for our counter-attacking style. Archie uncharacteristically let in a soft goal but put in a great shift on  the pitch producing 2 or 3 thunder bolt shots that would have whistled in were it not for impressive goalkeeping from our visitors. Rory went off on several mazy dribbles and played a significant part in our attacking threat.

Man of the Match - could be anyone of 6 or 7, but I will give it to Joseph to mark his 1st goal (of many). Cheers all
