The Whites turned in another fantastic team performance against a very good Worton & Cheverell outfit. Keeper Rowan made two or three great saves, the best of which saw him dive to his left and push the ball wide. He picked up a knee injury in the second half during a brave display between the sticks. Luca was outstanding in defence and, along with the rock-solid Josh, kept the Whites in control and Worton at arm’s length with lots of very important challenges. Joe and Brandon combined well in midfield as usual, with Brandon coming close to scoring. He did, however, set up Joe for a couple of his seven goals – a particularly good effort considering he had not been well in the days before the game. Tom, who later filled in in goal, and Matty S joined him on the scoresheet with great goals, while James created a few chances and linked up well with his team-mates. |
