Our first game of the season saw the colts make the short journey to Stanley Park to take on Chippenham Town White.

The hosts took the lead on 10mins after a lapse in concentration allowed a Chippenham forward to go 1 on 1 with Jasper and score with a neat finish. The colts rallied and deservedly got an equaliser from the penalty spot after a high dangerous foot on James. James composed himself to score with a well taken penalty. Just before the stroke of half time Chippenham scored their second with a fine shot from distance. The colts probably edged the 2nd half as they were often in the opponents half, but as hard as they try, the equaliser would not come, both Eddie and James had good shots saved and blocked. It was good close game played in a sporting spirit and was well refereed. A good performance from the colts in terms of effort and commitment, but room for improvement with the quality.
