U10 Green Westbury A 1 CCCFC White 1 Print
Season 12/13 - Under 10 Black & White
Against really tough apponents, on a well appointed but notoriously small pitch, the lads flew into their task with gusto.
David made his debut and was stunningly good.  Whilst we can work with him on where to stand etc., his ability, strength and pace shone through like a beacon.  What a nice lad too!  He was well in the running for MOM.

We remained threatening infront of the Westbury goal for the whole match, when you combine that with midfield play that was competetive and littered with good decisions and also staggeringly good defensive play you can see why the coach is a happy chappy!
Defensively  - Tom, Toby, Joe and Jayden have now got the knack at the back of sensing danger, turning on the after burners and keeping going until the threat is repelled - really great to see. Joe in particular, can be seen patrolling around like Patrick Viera, nicking the ball with those long legs of his.  This is a major difference in us being competetive in games.
Zak, Rory, David, Nick and Archie carried a real menace today and 3 or 4 goals would not have flattered us.  Some of the one touch shooting and passing was a joy to behold.  The fact that we went behind to a really scrappy goal, but then came roaring back to deservedly equalise shows that we are a real team again.  You did it for your mate who stands alongside you in your team.  It was stirring stuff guys, thank you.
Nick got our goal today, his second in a fortnight and for that reason I am going to give him MOM.
Well done people.
