U12 CCCFC 5 Bath City 3 Print
Season 12/13 - Under 12

I know its a cliché but this really was a game of 2 halves, it was our first game for a month and at times in  the first half it showed. After a scrappy opening 10 mins Tom L scored from close range after good work by Jamie & Matthew. However in a blink of an eye Bath had not only equalised but were actually leading 3-1, fortunately James reduced the deficit with the last kick of the half.

The 2nd half was a totally different game, the colts came out with a much better attitude and the belief they could still win the game. Eddie showed great tenacity to win back the ball after losing it and then to score the equaliser from a tight angle. The colts were now camped in the Bath half who never really looked like scoring again, Jake was winning every tackle, the passing and movement was improving all the time. The 4th goal came via an unusual route - a fantastic header by Eddie from at least 15 yards. Tom L had another chance to score again but just couldn't get his shot away, the 5th goal was deflected in from an Eddie shot, one for the dubious goals panel, but I'll give it to him for his hat trick.

Man of the match: Jake - won every tackle and totally dominated the 2nd half.

Next game: Westbury Lions at home on Sunday 3rd March 10.30am kick off.
