The lads battled manfully against a team of giants from Bath today in their last league game of the season - their last ever 7v7 game.

It was always going to be tough against our old rivals - they have really kicked on with their wide catchment area and have ended up top 2 in the league with a cup final to come. Fair play. This game was not about winning for us - it was about expanding on the themes we used last week of teamwork and not letting your mate down. Noone let anyone down - but we did treat it a little like an end of season kick about!

We were the better team for most of the first half - until we conceded two ugly goals late on at which point our heads seemed to drop. JJ, Zac and Jayden all had chances. David was everywhere, turning in another massive performance which was to prove enough to clinch the man of the match mantle.

Archie, Toby, Jayden and Tom proved a resolute defensive unit in the second half and we reduced larkhall largely to long range snapshots in the second half. They did notch another couple though when our old achiles heel of not clearing the box reared its head. Nick and Rory carved out a few chances for themselves and everyone kept going.

Onwards guys - lets see how 9 a side, big pitches and offsides suit us!!!!
