We had a great game vs Worton today as our initiation into 9v9, offside etc continued.

The coach and the players felt a wave of positivity return, this can only have come from our merry band of supporters and parents, and they responded by playing superbly well against opponents who came fourth in the blue division. Thanks go to our parents - when we are all together we are a VERY powerful force!

We played 4 quarters - 1-0, 0-1, 1-0, 0-2 were the results - so we won 2, lost 2. Great result - but more than that - we are so visibly learning to use the big pitch, learning to defend our goal, learning to pass etc - I AM REALLY PROUD OF OUR SQUAD.

JJ continued his excellent recent form, David was a force of nature, Jayden - our skipper - was a ball of energy who scored a fantastic goal by hitting both posts! Joe P also scored, and looked very much at home. That means the players of the year for both whites and blacks both scored - so obviously the managers know exactly what they are doing! Arch, Tom and Josh P were superb both on the pitch and in goal. Toby, Rory, Darryl, Felix did amazingly well. The stars of the day for me though were Max and Nick - Max was robust at the back, creative in midfield - Nick kept a clean sheet in goal and worked really hard when he was up front - keep it up Nick. They have to be equal men of the match.

There were times we strung 4/5/6 passes together (!) and it was a joy to behold - ALL OF A SUDDEN I AM REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT SEASON!!
