U10s at The Colts Tournament Print
Season 12/13 - Under 10 Black & White
The U10s put in 3 teams at our own tournament and they all did themselves proud.

The Stripes - were in an unfeasibly strong group (3 of the 4 semi finalists came from this group!) and welcomed new recruits Ben M, Tom C, Max and Felix alongside 'veteran' Colts Toby, Josh P and Rory. Results understandably  didn't go their way (0:2, 1:2, 0:2 and 0:0), but it was a great day as everyone got an opportunity in different playing positions. There were also some memorable highlights to include:
  • a great 1:2:3 combination between Toby:Ben:Max which led to a superb goal for Max;
  • incredible saves by TomC, who (like all the other new players) looks a very good player, holding Chippenham to a draw with a clean sheet in the final game;
  • superb midfield running by Josh P;
  • Rory playing a blinder in his first defence game (also responsible for holding Chippenham to a draw); and
  • great vision by Felix in playing some amazing passes.
Great stuff - the players bedded in and showed exciting promise for next season. We also welcomed our new coach Ian - who also showed great promise!

The Blacks - also had a tough group and came up with one of their best ever results in earning a draw with Bath Arsenal. Well done guys. The Blacks squad is looking stronger this year and quick progression is hoped for alongside a more settled squad so everyone can get into a rythym fast
The Whites - we couldnt get past Bath Arsenal in a tight quarter final, even though we gave as good as we got. The coach of Arsenal respects our team massively for giving him severe tests on 3 seperate occasions, and being one of the only teams to have taken a point off them this season.
We qualified through the group stages with 2 narrow defeats and 2 barnstorming victories. Archie hit a screamer which the coach missed against westbury, Nick grabbed a great goal but the scoring accolade has to go to Jaydens dribble and finish against bradford which has to go straight to No1 in the goal of the season charts. Thats the standard we have to beat now guys
You were all great - and thanks to the mums and dads who volunteered. I was very proud of our team, our squad, our club.
