A squad of 17 players took part in a friendly against Chippenham Town this afternoon as preparation for the new season that starts next week.

It was a good workout and an opportunity to try a few different ideas, everybody played a part in a good 5-1 win. Matthew opened the scoring with a deft finish after a good cross from Eddie. Chippenham equalised after some sloppy marking from a corner allowed a free header. Dan made it 2-1 with a fiercely struck shot. The Chippenham keeper had a fine game making some great saves from Tom L, Eddie & James. Eventually the 3rd goal came when Eddie went round the keeper after a great run involving going past several opponents. the 4th was a strange one, a great header from Jamie seemed destined for the goal, but it hit Eddie on the head, after a bit of a scramble James did well to keep the ball in play and crossed for Eddie to head into an empty net. Jamie scored the 5th with a terrific header. Well done to all.
