U11 CCCFC White 1 Westbury A 3 Print
Season 13/14 - Under 11 White

The guys kicked off the season proper with an inconsistent performance - varying from brilliant (first and last 10 minutes) to lethargic (middle 40). They did enough over the whole game to probably deserve a draw and if a couple of decsions had gone the right way - we would have done!

We do need to wise up and get fitter though - we won the ball often enough but gave it away often as well. Westbury were superior to us in terms of physicality and scored 3 scrappy goals through forcing the issue - a trait we need to pick up.

Toby had a good game digging in at the back, Tom and Joe did well too. JJ, Felix and Jayden were all candidates for man of the match. Archie was rewarded for a great display, when he put a piledriver into the roof of the net from 20 yards. Max did a superb job in midfield. Rory and Ben on the wings needed to be brought into the game more, we will work on that, but they tried manfully. Too many midfielders walking - until we stop doing that there will have to be more running at training!!!!!

This season will all be about learning, adapting and improving so......on to the next one. Plenty of positives to take away from today, and Westbury will finish high in the league.

Man of the match was Jayden - well done skip.
