U10 League Cup: CCCFC Whites 5 Dilton Rovers 0 Print
Season 13/14 - Under 10 White

The Whites progressed to the second round of the League Cup thanks to a home victory over Red Division opponents Dilton Rovers.
Colts posed a goal threat throughout while remaining resolute in defence and knocked the ball around superbly at times.
George’s deflected strike from outside the box broke the deadlock and he added a second with a low finish following a sweeping move upfield that started with keeper Max’s throw and involved Toby and Matthew.
The latter pair were involved again as the goal of the game arrived just 16 seconds after the restart. The Colts one-touch passing saw them carve through the helpless Dilton defence and the lively Brandon M was on hand to fire past the visitors’ excellent keeper.
Matthew grabbed the goal his industrious play in midfield deserved soon afterwards and benefited from a lovely piece of skill from Bradley on the left to curl home his second and the hosts’ fifth of the morning.
Tom and Luke, who had helped stifle a tidy and hardworking Dilton side before the break, were instrumental in pressing them back after it and relished their more advanced roles.
Brandon H produced a great all-round performance as the midfield anchor, breaking up the visitors’ attacks, utilising the ball intelligently and heading it away from danger on more than one occasion.
Behind him, Josh and Max may not have had the busiest of days but neither put a foot wrong and instigated a number of attacks with some excellent distribution.
