U10 Blue Division: CCCFC Whites 3 Chippenham Tn Eagles 0 Print
Season 13/14 - Under 10 White

The Whites were somewhat flattered by the final scoreline after being made to work hard for victory by a useful Chippenham Town side.
An even start saw both sides threaten an opener but it was Colts who got it when Brandon M showed great awareness to hold the ball up and lay it off for Toby, who produced an assured finish into the corner of the net.
Josh and Tom were kept busy as Chippenham pushed hard for an equaliser down the slope, going extremely close in one goalmouth scramble, while keeper Max’s positional play and handling was excellent throughout.
Having lost the midfield battle in the first half, a change in shape benefited Colts after the interval and helped Luke, Matthew and Toby come to the fore.
Skipper Luke broke up a number of Chippenham attacks, while Matthew and Toby probed effectively in the final third of the field as Bradley stretched the defence with some good running off the ball.
The crucial second goal arrived when a corner was half-cleared to Brandon H some 20 yards from goal and his long-range effort flew past the keeper with the aid of a deflection.
Chippenham had a strong penalty claim turned down but Colts finished the game in the ascendancy and a great run and shot from Matthew on the right ended with George tapping home from virtually on the goalline to round off the scoring.
The Whites have now reached the halfway point in their Blue Division campaign and continue to set the pace at the top after scoring wins over seven of the eight teams they have faced.
