U10 League Cup: CCCFC Whites 1 Trowbridge Tn Stripes 0 Print
Season 13/14 - Under 10 White

The Whites were made to work hard for their place in the League Cup quarter-finals by previously unbeaten Yellow Division leaders Trowbridge Town Stripes.
A ponderous start from the home team gave a determined and very well-organised Trowbridge side plenty of encouragement in the first period and defenders Brandon H, Tom and Josh did well to stifle some fast counter-attacks.
Behind them, Max was as solid as a rock and kicked superbly both from hand and the floor, and was afforded a quieter time of it as Colts improved after the interval.
Bradley fired inches wide just seconds after coming on as a substitute but continued his happy knack of scoring cup winners when he grabbed the game’s only goal in the second period.
Toby showed great vision to feed the influential Matthew in space and his skill took him past a couple of defenders before he played Bradley in for a low finish.
He later hit the post with a chip that evaded the keeper, with George, whose tenacity in attack was a real feature of the closing stages, just unable to apply the finishing touch on the goalline.
With just a goal in it, Trowbridge remained in the tie until the final whistle but were kept at bay in their push for an equaliser by one terrific tackle from Luke on the edge of the box and Brandon M’s strength and pace at the back.
