U11CCCFC Blacks 6 Melksham Typhoons 4


A fantastic start to the new league for the blacks, after a long wait we eventually got our campaign under way with a storming win against the Typhoons, a team who we had drawn against in our last two encounters.

A great pass from Nick to Josh who had run half the length of the pitch to score superbly got us under way, an excellent debut goal from Rory and another from Josh put us 3-0 up in 20 minutes and in control of the match.

As we have learned from our previous matches against the Typhoons things weren't going to be straight forward and they pulled one back, they nearly had a couple more but 3 amazing saves from Dante kept our advantage.

Joe kept his composure to score and excellent individual goal to help settle things down at the start of the second half.

Another solid display across the back line from Ben L, Daryl, Alex and Jude, which was strengthened with an excellent debut by Alfie.

Some great passing through the midfield from Louis who almost bagged himself a debut goal (next time Louis) and super solid Ben C continued to supply some amazing through balls to the strikers.

Nick made it 5 after after coming close on a couple of previous occasions, Dante made it 6 with a well deserved goal after constantly attacking all through the second half.

Jude moved up to midfield to strengthen our defence for the last 15 minutes to see the game out.

Great passing, great goals, great effort, great game....
