A very exciting game in truly awful conditions this afternoon. The colts were quick out of the blocks and scored after 2 mins when Eddie squeezed the ball past the keeper, 5mins later and it was 2, James confidently converting a penalty after Eddie had been brought down. Trowbridge pushed on and from successive corners pulled it back to 2-2. The colts continued to play a quick passing game and kept getting the ball forward to Matthew, Eddie & Dan and it was from one of these moves the 3rd goal came, a terrific run and cross from Dan found Toby at the far post, who unselfishly squared the ball to Eddie on the edge of the box who had time to take a touch and then drill the ball into the top corner. 2-3 at halftime.

With the slight slope and wind in now in our favour, I was confident we would push on and score more goals. Dan grabbed the 4th with a great shot on the run giving the keeper no chance, Matthew notched the 5th following up well from a save by the keeper. Some more chances came and went before Jamie calmly slotted the ball past keeper for no.6. The defensive unit of Alex, Tom T, Harry, Jacob & Tom L looked more secure and continued to keep Trowbridge at bay, however things changed dramatically in the last 5mins as Trowbridge threw everything forward, Jasper made a fantastic save from a 1 on 1, Matthew & Harry both clearing the ball off the line on separate occasions, however we couldn't hold out any longer and Trowbridge nicked 2 very late consolation goals. A fantastic win well done to all.

Man of the match: very difficult after a great team performance,  but based on his on fantastic work rate and will to win Matthew gets the vote.
