U11 CCCFC White 8 Warminster Blacks 1 Print
Season 13/14 - Under 11 White

At last we were able to unveil our 3 new signings, 3 very good players who will strengthen the group significantly. Its a big welcome to Ted Finn and a welcome back to Louie Lang and Angus Fullerton.

Some of the football played today was stunning with Louie, Alex, Archie, Ted and JJ in particular weaving whirling moves which had our opponents perplexed. I thought at the start there were 3 Alex's rather than 1 as he was absolutely everywhere. He opened the scoring with a great drive from the edge of the area and made an early bid for man of the match. Archie went on to score a hat-trick in 6 minutes with clinical finishing. His first goal featured the pass of the match from Louie in to Arch. We did concede a goal when - despite the coach bleating from the sidelines - we lost positional discipline and were punished. One person who never lost his discipline was another candidate for MOM Joe. Very ably assisted by Felix and the powerful Angus, he kept the defence together superbly.

We put Archie in goal in the second half and to be fair, I dont think he actually touched the ball. Jayden moved upfront and was so unlucky to have one goal disallowed when the ref correctly brought play back for an injury to a warminster player, and then he was over generous in passing to Louie when in a easy goalscoring position - just lash it in next time skip!

Our generosity continued as we missed a penalty and a multitude of chances to leave everyone watching shaking their heads - we did have enough about us though to score 4 more in the second half through Tom, Ben, Ted and Max though. These were all very good goals, but if the goal Tom eventually scored had gone in direct from Bens header (from a sublime cross from the excellent Ted) - that would now be sat at the the top of the leader board for the 'Goal of the Season' trophy. Currently this is held by Archies piledriver against Chipp Tn.

Once again a word for our opponents who always conduct themselves magnificently and are definitely improving.

Our skipper for the day Jayden chose Louie as Man of The Match for 'unselfish play and great passing'. Well deserved and well done all. Louie is now skipper next week and will choose the MOM. I have just made up a new rule for this - youre not allowed to choose the person who chose you!

Cheers
