Once again the lads went one up within a minute of the start - this time it was Archie getting his 25th goal of the season with a brilliant header from an equally brilliant corner from JJ. Also once again though, the guys slackened off and conceded a goal - immediately. Corsham are a decent side who drew with us at our place and so needed no encouragement to seek further goals. It was at this stage that the imperious Joe, Max and Felix stepped up to the plate and created a wall of willing defense that was to prove impregnable for the rest of the game. The MOM award could have gone to any of them - but as it was actually Felix awarding it, it couldnt go to him - it actually ended up with Joe who is back to his greatest powers and playing consistently superb again.

Max continued to have an eventful game - he went in goal at the start of the second half to give Archie the time to score his second - this time with his LEFT foot again!! Max then swapped with Archie and slammed in two scorching goals to round off our scoring. Ben, Ted, Angus and Louie played much better than the weekend in gaining a stranglehold in midfield - as before the guys won individual battles all over the pitch and finished well when chances presented themselves. This is always going to be the recipe for success.

Tom & JJ also scrapped away doing brilliant jobs for the team. Jayden covered for the absence of alex by running a bit harder and a bit faster and looked really good throughout. Max's goal and Archies header have to go straight on to the shortlist for the GOAL OF THE SEASON trophy.
