We began our 2014/15 campaign in the North Wilts on a lovely sunny afternoon at the sportsfield against our opponents Croft Blue from Swindon.

The colts started brightly and could have scored in the first minute, but Eddie's shot went the wrong side of the post after a cross from Matthew. The teams were evenly matched and there were chances at both ends, eventually the colts took the lead when Matthew coolly finished. It remained 1-0 at half time.

We extended our advantage 8 mins into the 2nd half when after a bit of a scramble Eddie was able to knock the ball into the net. Croft reacted well and they had 1 player who was causing us problems with his pace, ultimately it was him who scored a fine goal for Croft. More chances came for both teams, but Matthew made the game safe with a fine individual goal after a terrific through ball from Eddie to make the final score 3-1.

With only 11 players available this was a good performance, the football played was really good, but the effort & commitment was great. James did a terrific job in goal, standing in for Jasper who is recovering from a broken finger, who in turn was really good in defence alongside the ever improving Tom T, Tom L & Charlie, the midfield always seemed to be in control with Toby running the game with Jacob & Harry supporting. Matthew was giving the fullback a torrid time, Eddie & Jamie never let the Croft defence relax. Well done to all, a great start.
