In a carbon copy of the recent cup game - the lads did enough to soar to the top of the league (mainly because of surprising news at the Worton v Westbury match!).

The lads seemed able to score at will, but once again allowed themselves to fall away from a disciplined passing game where chances were appearing every couple of minutes-  into a game where personal glory and dribbling seemed to be the main focus. Racing to 6-0 at half time through Archie, Max, JBW 2 & JJ 2 - it was a joy to see our forwards setting each other up by dropping deep and sending in the runners.

This fell away in the second half - where to be fair, our opponents kept going and threatened themselves. I was hoping we had learned our lesson. JBW added a fortunate goal and Joe Newman continued a brilliant performance to clinch the MOM award. Louie will be captain next week.

There are a couple of massive games coming up in the next fortnight - I think the lads have shown enough since Xmas to show that they are ready. The next goal scored by the team will be the 100th this season!
