U12 Blacks 2 Whites 6 Print
Season 14/15 - Under 12 White

CCCFC U12 Whites don the club's away kit for their inter-club match with the Blacks

In a game none of the coaches were looking forward to - the kids managed to serve up a game which meant hopefully everyone went home encouraged and happy with their lot.

The conditions were BIBLICAL. Freezing rain and a pitch resembling the Baseball Ground, Derby from the 70's. To everyones credit - they steeled themselves and produced a great performance.

The Blacks will have surprised the Whites players with how much they have developed over the year. From a fabulous performance from Rory in goal to deserved goalscoring performances from Toby and Dante there were people excelling all over the pitch. Louis, Josh & Sam didnt look like the same players we last watched 3 or 4 months ago. The YK posse were mainstays of the team as usual, whilst Bailey combined with Dante time after time in dangerous breakaway raids.

From the whites point of view - we made mistakes. The main one was dribbling the ball time after time - losing the ball in a midfield scrum time after time! We didnt use the wings where there were actually green bits and we didnt finish enough of the many many chances that we created. We went 1-0 up after 11 minutes with Archie heading home from a JJ corner. The blacks keeper kept everything at bay enabling the score to stay at 1-1 at half time - Dante had hit the post as well. The traffic went a little more one way after that and further goals were scored by Archie, Louie, Archie, Ted and JJ.

The football was a little frustrating to watch - it had no flow to it. Things will need to improve before next weeks crunch match with Westbury. Credit to all though, for having the character and temperament to keep on going in those conditions.

Well done all. MOM - Archie
