U14 CCCFC 9 - 0 Wootton Bassett Print
Season 14/15 - Under 14

A comfortable victory today against a plucky Wootton Bassett side. The colts were straight out of the blocks when Eddie scored with less than a minute on the clock, the game then entered a some what dull period where we struggled to find any cohesion in our play, the game re-ignited on 18 mins as Eddie finished well, there were plenty of opportunites to increase our lead, but some of the shooting was a little wayward! Eddie completed his 8th hatrick of the season with a composed finish on 26 mins. 3-0 at halftime.

We started the 2nd half the same as the first when Jamie scored within a minute of the restart, Jamie was having a major influence on our improved performance with some intelligent passing from his midfield position, Dan extended the lead further with a good goal on 48 mins, Jamie added to his tally with a sweet volley from a Dan corner on 51 mins. We were now well in our stride, Matthew was creating his usual havoc on the right wing. Dan grabbed his 2nd goal on 58 mins, James went close after a mazy run, but the keeper saved well. Eddie notched his 4th on 61 mins and he was desperately unlucky not to get more after striking the woodwork on 3 separate occasions, Toby completed the scoring in the 68th minute. One more game to go and if we win it we will finish runners up with possible promotion.

Man of the match: Jamie very accomplished in midfield and an excellent volleyed goal.

Next game: Croft away on Sunday 3rd May - 10.30am kick off.
