NWL U12 Cup first round: CCCFC Whites 7 Hungerford Town 2 Print
Season 15/16 - Under 12 White

The Colts moved into the draw for the last 16 of the North Wilts League Cup with victory over Division 2 side Hungerford Town.
Five goals inside the first 20 minutes put the Colts firmly in the driving seat and allowed the opportunity for plenty of positional rotation for the remainder of the contest.
Matthew opened the scoring from close range and Liam made it 2-0 with a fine header following an Tom’s excellent run and cross from the right. Callum added two more before Toby rounded off a fine move by cutting inside and thumping the ball past the keeper.
Brandon H showed neat footwork and good vision to create a number of chances, while Josh and Bradley always looked strong at the back and keeper Luke S swept up the danger well behind them.
Colts were less assured in the second half and a lack of concentration in defence allowed Hungerford – who also hit the woodwork in the first half – to find the net with two excellent finishes that gave Luke S no chance.
The home side were perhaps a little too gung-ho at times and struggled to use the width as effectively as they might, as Matthew and Luke VDB took up good positions on the flanks.
Callum completed his hat-trick with a calm finish and Matthew rounded off the scoring after the keeper spilled Bradley’s cross. Max was always a danger and sent a couple of efforts just wide, while Toby was narrowly off target with a long-range free-kick as the hosts continued to press until the final whistle.
